Women's Day Celebration at SDM College of Physiotherapy, Shri Dharmasthala University
On the occasion of International Women's Day, SDM College of Physiotherapy, a constituent unit of Shri Dharmasthala University, celebrated the remarkable achievements & contributions of women with a series of inspiring & engaging events on March 8, 2025. The theme for this year's Women's Day, "Accelerate Action", was at the heart of the celebrations, emphasizing the importance of empowering women & fostering gender equality.
EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
Talk on Mental Health by Dr. Naidila Jain & Dr. Varsha Angadi, Nutrition by Dr. Chandramati Rokhade, & Fitness in Women by Dr. Shweta Kulkarni. The event began with an enlightening session on the critical aspects of women's well-being. Esteemed speakers addressed the importance of mental health, balanced nutrition & physical fitness in women's lives. The talk highlighted how a holistic approach to health can empower women to lead fulfilling lives & contribute meaningfully to society.
SKIT ON "ACCELERATE ACTION"
Staff of SDM College of Physiotherapy presented a thought-provoking skit centered around the 2025 Women's Day theme, "Accelerate Action". The performance underscored the need for collective efforts to break barriers, challenge stereotypes & create a more inclusive & equitable world for women. The skit was both impactful & inspiring, leaving the audience with a strong message to take action.
FUN GAMES FOR DOCTORS
To add a touch of joy & camaraderie, fun games were organized for the doctors working under Shri Dharmasthala University. The games provided a refreshing break from their busy schedules & allowed them to bond & celebrate the spirit of womanhood together.
FELICITATION OF SENIOR DOCTOR
The felicitation was arranged for a senior Doctor from Department of Biochemistry, Dr. Vidya Patil. The celebration culminated in a special function to honor & felicitate a senior doctor for her outstanding contributions to the field of physiotherapy & healthcare. Her dedication, leadership, & commitment to empowering women in the medical profession were acknowledged with heartfelt gratitude & admiration. The dignitaries present for the felicitation program were Vice Chancellor Dr. Niranjan Kumar, Member Board of Governor Smt. Padmalatha Niranjan, Pro VC Shri Jeevandhar Kumar, Registrar Dr. C M Shettar, Finance Officer Shri V G Prabhu, Principal S D M College of Physiotherapy Dr. Sanjay Parmar.
