Department of Musculoskeletal & Sports Physiotherapy had organized an academic activity on "STRENGTH & CONDITIONING" which was conducted on 24th August, 2024 at S D M College of Physiotherapy. Dr. Tapan Ashar & Dr. Safa, a Professional sports Physiotherapists specialized in strength coaching & return to sports after injury. Dr. Sweta Kulkarni, Professor had organized the academic activity. Total 35 students (PG's, Interns & UG's) participated in the workshop. The workshop emphasized on challenging the current belief in Taping. This session challenged our Postgraduate & undergraduate students in gaining knowledge about the assessment of athletes on field & techniques to improve strength, posture, coordination, stabilize joints, correct movement patterns in athletes. Dr. Niranjan Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara University, Dharwad was the guest of Honour & Shri Saket Shetty, Director administration, Dharwad was the Chief Guest for the Inauguration of the Academic activity. Smt. Padmalatha Niranjan, Member of BOG & other executives from university, Principals & Vice principals from constituent units were present for the Inauguration of the academic activity. Dr. Aishwarya Desai & Dr. Sweta Kulkarni were the MOC for the Inauguration & Valedictory program.
