Department of Musculoskeletal & Sports Physiotherapy had organized an academic activity on "INJURY PREDICTION CONCEPT" which was conducted on 25 th May, 2025 at SDM College of Physiotherapy. Mr. Arun Harikrishna, a Professional Musculoskeletal and sports Physiotherapists specialized in prediction of harm prior to injury. Dr. Sweta Kulkarni, Professor had organized the academic activity. Total 38 students (PG’s, Interns & UG’s) participated in the workshop.
The Department of Musculoskeletal & Sports Physiotherapy at SDM College of Physiotherapy, Dharwad, successfully organized an academic activity on the theme “Injury Prediction Concept” on 25th May, 2025.
The session was led by Mr. Arun Harikrishna, a seasoned Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapist known for his expertise in identifying biomechanical and functional patterns that may predict injury risk before occurrence. His insights offered students a new perspective on proactive clinical strategies for injury prevention.
The workshop was organized under the guidance of Dr. Sweta Kulkarni, Professor in the department, who coordinated the event seamlessly.
The session witnessed active participation from 38 students, including postgraduate students, interns, and undergraduates, who gained valuable knowledge on injury risk assessment tools, clinical screening techniques, and the latest research trends in predictive musculoskeletal therapy. Dr. Niranjan Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara University, Dharwad was the guest of Honour and Dr. C. M. Shettar, Registrar, Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara University, Dharwad was the Chief Guest for the Inauguration of the Academic activity. Smt. Padmalatha Niranjan, Member of BOG and other executives from university, Principals and Vice principals from constituent units were present for the Inauguration of the academic activity. Dr Ellisha was the MOC for the Inauguration and Valedictory program.
This academic activity was a significant step toward equipping budding physiotherapists with forward-thinking skills essential in modern sports and musculoskeletal rehabilitation
