Two days Continuing Professional Development Programme/Academic Activity on “Aquatic Therapy” organised by SDM College of Physiotherapy on 20th & 21st March 2026 at SDM College of Physiotherapy & Shivagiri Pool, Amargol and conducted by Dr. Parmar Sanjay Tejraj, Professor & Principal, Dr. Sharmila Dudhani, Professor Neurophysiotherapy & Dr. Suraj Shukla, alumni of SDMCPT were the resource person for the workshop.

Inaugural function of “Aquatic Therapy Workshop” held on 20th March 2026 at 9.30am at Ishavaasyam in Manjushree Block, Superspecialty building, SDMCMSH, Dharwad. The Chief Guest for the function was Honourable Vice Chancellor. Dr. Niranjan Kumar, The Workshop covered a wide range of techniques of treatment like Ai-chi and Bad ragaz, which gave theoretical reasoning and practical application of aquatic therapy in various specialties of Physiotherapy. 46 delegates including final year students, interns, Postgraduates participated in this workshop. The concepts of ideal pool, properties of water, water Specific therapy & Bad Ragaz Ring Method were extensively demonstrated in the pool. 3 patients were evaluated and treatment of the patients was demonstrated to the students.
